Sustainability Governance Structure

Yanfeng has established the following structure to better strengthen our sustainability governance.

  • The Group Sustainability Initiative Executive Steering Committee is responsible for supervising the company’s strategy as well as setting targets and commitments.
  • The Group Sustainability Council oversees the company’s sustainability commitments and targets, provides KPIs, and drives projects globally. 
  • The Regional Governance Teams are responsible for implementing the sustainability actions on a regional level, while the individual business units cooperate on projects and align customer and regulatory requirements as well as identify sustainability trends.

Policies & Practices

Our Yanfeng International Operating System (YF IOS) is a centralized management operating system that has been developed over decades to optimize global collaboration and make it more efficient.It applies to all wholly owned subsidiaries, unconsolidated and consolidated joint ventures, and affiliates of Yanfeng. 

It consolidates centrally documents that support our high-level processes, including business planning, program management, manufacturing excellence, and leadership. It covers key areas of focus such as human resources, finance, legal, environmental, health and safety, as well as compliance policies such as anticorruption, bribery, fraud, money laundering, and rules for gifts and entertainment.

To ensure compliance with YF IOS processes, an annual audit is conducted both internally and by an external certification body. Our YF IOS system meets the requirements of IATF, the automotive standard for a quality management system.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct (Code) creates the foundation and sets the path for how we globally conduct our business based on ethics and compliance.

This document, which is publicly available in eight languages on our website, anchors 15 guiding principles for ethical business behaviors and applies company-wide to all employees and contract workers globally as well as to our business partners.

Partner Code of Conduct

All our suppliers must act according to the ethical and legal principles defined in our Partner Code of Conduct. This document outlines the minimum requirements that must be met as well as the clear expectations that we have of our business partners. It applies to all suppliers – regardless of the materials or services they provide. We expect our partners to conduct their operations in an environmentally and socially responsible manner and require them to commit to our global supplier standards.

We also encourage them to adopt business values and practices aligned with the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles for environmental and social responsibility as well as sustainable development. These requirements also apply to their own supply chain.

Complaints Procedure

Both Yanfeng and our supplier chain must comply with all applicable government regulations relating to human rights and environmental standards.

All employees and external parties can contact the Integrity Helpline to report violations of human rights and environmental standards.

Our reporting channels provide the whistleblower a safe way to submit reports anonymously either online or by telephone.
