The European headquarters in Neuss combines various functions of the company. In addition to research and development, these also include administrative functions. On the site, which covers a total of 21,000 square meters, around 550 employees work in various disciplines on the automotive interior. These include the traditional interiors business with door panels, floor consoles and instrument panels, as well as the new product business units of seating and passive safety systems. The company is also focused on the interior of the future, which is increasingly characterized by the use of new, innovative materials and technologies. All 17 locations of the company in Europe and South Africa are managed from Neuss.
In addition to the prototype construction, the European headquarters also has extensive testing facilities and an airbag test center. Here, airbag tests are carried out on instrument panels, door panels and car seats for future vehicle models. These tests only finish when the new vehicle goes into series production. After the start of series production, the quality of the series is ensured by continual quality monitoring and testing. For this, the company depends on the high level of quality awareness and technical knowledge of its employees and more than 25 years of experience and expertise in this field. The airbag test center has been accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 since 2014.
