Yanfeng, a leading global automotive supplier, officially released its 2025 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, showcasing significant progress across its sustainability initiatives. The data contained in the report relates to wholly owned businesses, including Yanfeng Interiors, Seating and Safety Systems, and provides a comprehensive overview of the company's progress in advancing its sustainability activities during the reporting period from January 1 through December 31, 2025. The report reflects Yanfeng's responsible approach to business through real achievements in renewable energy, the circular economy, and social responsibility programs.
Key achievements in 2025 include:
- Renewable Energy: 49% of global energy was sourced from renewables, with solar contributing 4.9%.
- Circular Economy: A 35% increase in recycled plastic resin purchases.
- Industry Recognition: Maintained an A- CDP rating for climate disclosure and earned an EcoVadis Gold Medal.
"We are proud of what we have achieved. The global Yanfeng team has done an enormous amount of work over the past year, and the results speak clearly. In 2025, we received an A-minus rating from CDP and our very first Gold Medal from EcoVadis,” said Zang Chungao, CEO, Yanfeng. “Even more important, however, are the numbers behind these awards. Renewable sources now account for nearly half of our global energy consumption, and our purchases of recycled plastics increased by 35 percent year-over-year. These are not just statistics; they are proof that our commitment to sustainability is delivering real results."
Yanfeng is on track for its SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) emissions target (Scope 1 & 2) by 2030, embedding sustainability into product development with recyclable materials and modular designs.
The company also strengthened its commitment to the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals through ethical operations and record employee volunteer hours.
