Just recently, YFAI has been recognized as one of the top three companies with the AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award 2019 in the category “Most Innovative Automotive Supplier for “Interior and Interface”. The award is presented by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM), an independent scientific institute for empirical automotive and mobility research at the Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (University of Economics) in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. The Auto-Institut supports its customers with extensive databases, in particular on vehicle technology innovations of the global automotive industry as well as on the market and financial performance of automotive manufacturers and automotive suppliers. Professor Dr. Bratzel, Director and founder of the CAM, is patron for the AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award.

YFAI receives the award for its innovation Smart Door Panel Top Bolster which has been developed together with KOSTAL Automotive Electrical Systems. The top bolster with activeSkin and light-animated seat adjustment switch showcases how we are able to realize our mission through intelligent fusion of a responsive top bolster and a translucent, soft artificial leather material.

The award was presented on July 8 in Frankfurt, Germany and Dirk Blomeyer, Director Business Development and Jesus Galan, Senior Manager Advanced Technologies, accepted the award on behalf of YFAI.

“Thank you to Jesus and Dirk who promoted our innovation in front of a well reputed expert panel, recognizing YFAI’s innovation relevance and strength and paving the way for technology commercialization. Included in YFAI’s is to redefine the onboard experience by combining innovative surface materials, decorative elements, intuitive Human-Machine Interface (HMI) technology and vital interior components into a seamlessly integrated smart interior surface product. This results in new interior design opportunities and reduced system complexity for OEMS”, says Han Hendriks, Chief Technology Officer at YFAI.
