Yanfeng reaffirms its global commitment to climate protection
Receiving the CDP A- rating for the fourth time

Yanfeng continues to work hard to protect the climate and has achieved an A- rating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Climate Disclosure 2024 for the fourth consecutive year for our Interiors division.

Yanfeng's A- score puts it in the leadership group. This means that the company performs much better compared to its competitors in the plastics products industry, outperforming both the regional Asian and global averages for this group. Last year, more than 24,800 CDP companies rated their environmental performance. To receive an "A" score, companies must demonstrate clear environmental leadership, disclose climate action, and show best practices in reducing their carbon footprint. Companies must provide evidence of their climate strategies, including science-based climate protection targets and plans. This is the fourth consecutive year that Yanfeng has achieved an A- in this assessment. Yanfeng Interiors began providing climate data for the CDP project in 2018.

Success also in new important categories

Yanfeng Interiors has made significant strides in its sustainability efforts, earning a B score in the 2024 CDP Water Security report. This reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible water management and environmental stewardship. In addition, Yanfeng Interiors marks a significant milestone by making its debut in the 2024 CDP Forests report, where it earned a B- score, demonstrating its dedication to forest conservation and sustainable supply chains.

On the other hand, Yanfeng Seating has taken a significant step forward, entering the CDP Climate Change 2024 disclosure for the first time and earning a notable B rating. This accomplishment underscores the company's proactive approach to tackling climate change and its position as a leader in sustainable practices within the automotive industry.

"Within our procurement organization, we have the potential to make important environmental changes in our supply chain. For this reason, we are not only focusing on our performance in this area, but we are also working closely with our suppliers to accelerate environmental action across the company's supply chain," said Gunnar Büchter, Global Head of Sustainability and Executive Director for Procurement at Yanfeng.

These achievements highlight Yanfeng’s leadership in driving sustainability within the automotive sector, aligning innovation with responsible environmental practices, and positioning the company for long-term success in a rapidly evolving industry.
