Job Description
Job Summary:
Manage and maintain production equipment spare parts and production supplies needed to successfully operate the manufacturing operation. Inventory, reorder, restockand distribute parts and supplies as required.
Essential functions of the job:
- Supervise staff of tool crib attendants.
- Assign asset numbers to all new and transferred machines/equipment/etc. and enter Asset Management software.
- Distribute needed parts/materials to maintenance, ME's, production teams, supervisors, etc.
- Generate re-order reports from Inventory Management software and cycle count all parts. Re-order all Indirect materials and spare parts through the designated procurement tools and processes.
- Add new items for stock in approved timeof request (collect paperwork and part(s) from Support Staff, verify item is not already in system.
- Verify part # with description & price, enter, create shelf location & barcode, enter information into Inventory Management software.
- Generate and distribute hard copies of preventive maintenance work orders on a weekly basis. Enter completed PM's and generate the weekly past due report.
- Receive and stock all received parts from Inventory Management orders.
- Maintain the relationship and approve all orders for vendor managed inventory.
- Total Inventory Dollars Tracking - report monthly
Required Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Area of Study: General studies
Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience with Purchasing/Maintenance/Engineering processes.
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Computer literate.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
