Supervisor Production

Job Description
- Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Operations Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
- Provide production expectations and quality feedbackto team members in daily start up meeting.
- Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuringHSE and 5S policies and standards are followed.
- Train and monitor employee performance toensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
- Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
- Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
- Ensure compliance of the Union contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
- Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
- Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
- Daily review of process and people toidentify and implement CI opportunities.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
- Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Responsible for troubleshooting any issues related to the vacuum forming, adhesive spraying, or injection molding processes, or the associated equipment. Documents and communicateswith other Process Technicians, ME, and Shift Supervisor results of problem solving, and any deviations from established methods or procedures that may be necessary to resolve specific issues.
- Maintain documentation for process equipment such as reference sheets, monitoring sheets,waterline diagrams, gate seals, rheology graphs, robot programs, adhesive spray patterns, Dart Net templates, etc.
- Manage process controls for the injection molding using Dart Net system tools
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of acceptable quality standards established by the quality department to insure maximum production of saleable parts
- Systematically check all variables to insure best possible balance of quality and quantity under specific prevailing conditions. Supervises the adhesive spray, vacuum forming, and injection molding process to ensure proper controls are being maintained.
- Schedule both routine and preventative maintenance of the equipment to have the least possible adverse effect on production schedules
- Analyze operations for possible improvements in methods, procedures, or design. Recommend such improvements to the ME. Run all DOEs and launch samples.
- Assist the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation, and monitoring what the associates willbe required to complete as part of the process controls
- Responsible for monitoring Maintenance Technician mold change program loading and set-ups, as well as Operator inspecting and verifying the first shot checks to assure proper methods were followed to produce a quality part
- Other duties as requested by your manager/supervisor
- Co-coordinates with Operations training efforts of the plant through training and programs designed to improve team member skills in production, quality and safety.
Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
High School graduate or equivalent. Previousexperience in plastic injection molding is preferred.
