This year’s NEWMATEC conference was held in Tále, Slovakia, March 28 and 29. František Horečný, Continuous Improvement Manager at YFAI, kicked off the second day of the event with a talk on robust engineering. His presentation “The application of the methodology ‘Design for Six Sigma’ in the design and development of car parts” featured a case study illustrating his points.

A Six Sigma specialist with in-depth international experience, František Horečný currently focuses on implementing robust engineering methodology (Design for Six Sigma) in the development of car interiors. He is based at the company’s Slovakian technical center in Trenčín.

In addition to the speech, YFAI presented sample products to let conference attendees get a feel for the company’s innovations firsthand. YFAI’s participation in the conference was very important in order to build the brand in Central and Eastern Europe.

Supported by the Slovak Ministry of Economy and organized by the Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic, NEWMATEC aims to bring together a wide range of industry professionals to network and exchange information.
