Job Summary
As the MES IT Senior Professional, you will be responsible for managingthe implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and overseeing projects related to manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and IT to ensure that the MES system is optimized to achieve operational efficiency and meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have experiencewith MES systems and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Essential functions of the role
- Lead the implementation of the MES system and oversee its maintenance and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Develop project plans, and schedules for manufacturing projects.
- Manage MES timelines and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project status reports, project plans, and project budgets.
- Manage project resources, including personnel and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
- Provide training and support to end-users on the use of the MES system.
Required education
- Bachelor’s level degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Required qualifications
- 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience with MES implementation and project management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturingprocesses and systems, including MES, ERP, and automation systems.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively withcross-functional teams.
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or other relational databases
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able and willing to travel (up to 50%) and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the design and implementation of shop floor systems is required.
- Experience working with MES applications such as Nysus, Insequence, IPC, Hydra or Planstar is strongly desired.
- Experience in Kepware and PLC is a plus.
- Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants
- ERP (SAP or Mfg/Pro) systems experience
- Extensive interactions withpeople, teams, and organizations
- Good blend of people skills, technical/functional skillsand knowledge
- Excellent multi-tasking skills to manage multiple priorities throughout theworking day
- Comfortable with situations that include ambiguity and complexity.
