Quality Engineer

Job Description
- Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews and update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned work flows
- Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings,reviews and audits
- Performs root cause analysis of technical problems
- Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the Business Operating System (YIOS) standards.
- Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
- Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
- Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC,etc.)
- Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes
- Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)
- Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)

1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).

Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable
- Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).

Area of Study: Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineeringor equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function.
