Main Responsibilities

• Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
• Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits.
• Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.
• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on qualityissues, trends and losses.
• Establish process controls, assist in training of new projectsand buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews
• Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, ControlPlan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)
• Program CMM’s using PCDMIS CMM Software. 
• Develop reports using Datapage / Dataview Statistical Software and or MS Excel.
• Perform CMM layouts / studies for pre and post launch activities. 
• Perform Gage Layouts 
• Maintain inspection and calibration records

Common Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering or equivalentwork experience in Quality or Engineering related function.
• 3-5 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).
• 3-5 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotiverelated is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).

Specific Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or Science related field with 1-3 years of related work experience.
• American Society for Quality certification, such as current CQE status, is highly desirable.

Work Experience:

• Experience with ISO/IATF 16949 Quality Systems is required. Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable. 
• Experience in Advanced Quality Planning including strong proficiency with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and ControlPlan, FMEAs, PPAPs, MSA and Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards. 
• Experienceworking directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related.

Qualifications (General/EHS/Quality):

• Knowledge of statistical concepts, design of experiments and problem solving methodology is required. Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience isrequired. Black Belt certification and experience with Minitab software is highly desirable. 
• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable. 
• Proficient in use of a computer and common office software (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work in a self-directed environment. 
• Good mechanical/technical skills and ability to read engineering drawings are desirable. GD&T proficiency is highly desirable. 
• Excellent problem solving skills, including experience preparing problem solving documents such as 8D’s.

Regional Requirement

This position is located at a manufacturing/plant facility. Travel to customer, other Company manufacturing sites, Company corporate sites, and supplier sites will be involved. This position may require work with potentially hazardous products in a controlled, safe environment.
