Job Summary
Drives product design, development, and plant support to launch products effectively and efficiently, as well as grow technical capabilities.
Responsibilities
Understand internal and external customer design requirements.
Communicate design.
Validate design.
Launch product.
Utilize PRP to guide Launch Process.
Capture lessons learned.
Develop tactical plans to meet deliverables.
Deliver design within engineering budget and BOM cost targets.
Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
Applystructured problem-solving methods for issue resolution.
Manage program risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree in a technical field (manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, materials science, industrial & operations, etc.)
4+ years of experience in automotive interiors.
Experience in seating components like structure, headrest and armrest preferred.
Global program experience preferred.
Position requires travel, including overnight travel.
