PLM Technical Support Lead

Job Description

Job Summary:

The PLM Technical Support Lead role is a part of the Product Launch and Engineering COE. As the NA Application Technical Support Lead, this role will be responsible for the daily support of PLM, Launch and Engineering applications in the NA region. They will have astrong understanding of engineering applications, the technical infrastructure, and strong customerfocus to support the user community.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Inpartnership with the broader IT organization, lead all aspect of application support for the NA region.  As need arises, also lead, or coordinate with other leads on global applications and initiatives that require NA involvement.  
  • Responsible for working with IT customerson key issues that otherwise cannot be handled by the standard IT helpdesk support team.  
  • Plan and execute necessary application upgrades, maintenance support, hardware maintenance, and application optimization initiatives. 
  • Partner with the PLM COE Architectureand Operations leaders to define hand over criteria and supportability of the deployed solutions.
  • Identify and recommend CI initiatives for improving the cost and quality of services to ourbusiness customers.
  • Communication with leadership from Business and IT about all projectsand enhancements., business UAT team and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement small custom functionalities using Teamcenter ITK, RAC, SOA, and BMIDE.
  • Create and manage data model extensions, business objects, properties, rules, handlers, and conditions using BMIDE

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in this or similar role.
  • Experience in developing and implementing small custom functionalities using Teamcenter ITK, RAC, SOA, and BMIDE.
  • Experience in creating and managing data model extensions, business objects, properties, rules, handlers, and conditions using BMIDE
  • Extensive experience in delivering world class customer support in the PLM and Engineering domain regarding: 
    • Engaging business customers.
    • Managing customer expectations.
    • Defining deliverables timelines in accordance with the overall Project Timeline. 
    • Proven leadership and ability to work across teams and regions. 
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
    • High communication skills required at all levels. 
    • Effective presentation style for all levels of stakeholders.

  • Prototype Management 
  • ERP integration and Launch 

Functional experience with applications such as:
