Job Summary
The Master Scheduler oversees the function of scheduling activities. The Mater Scheduler is responsible for balancing production and inventory levels with demandto support targets consistent with customer delivery levels, inventory turns and goals and capacityutilization.
Responsibilities
- Reports finished goods and component items based on capacity requirements.
- Communicates short and long-term customer production.
- Ensures timely output of product in response to customer orders analyze address and communicate production issues in a timely manner, work to develop soltuions and improve productionperformance.
- Publish and perform root cause analysis in Actual vs. Scheduled Production,Downtime and Company KPI’s.
- Calculates resulting requirements for raw materials, WIP, purchases parts and packaging based on MRP methodology.
- Coordinates equipment repairs ormaintenance with appropriate personnel with zero impact to customers.
- Plans, coordinatesand executes product bank builds in accordance to company policies.
- Participation in physical inventory.
- Participates in Launch, Balance Out and End Change meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelors level degree.
- Area of study: production scheduling, supply chain management or similar.
- 2-5 minimum years of experience within the field.
- Experience within the automotive industry preferred.
- Must beable and willing to work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
- Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Able to process time sensitive information and orders to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MFG, PRO, QAD, MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
