JOB SUMMARY

  • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry-
  • For this position
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis andreporting tools.
  • The candidate is required to have at least three years of prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • WILL BE A PLUS IF THE CANDIDATE HAS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN AIRBAGS OR STEERING WHEEL PROCESS

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automotive production systems.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Project management experience.

  • This position reports to a Engineering Manager
  • It’s difficultto access to the Plant- for this reason it´s important that the candidate must have her/ his own transportation or another alternative to get to this site.

Experience minimum 4 years in automotive industry, as Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or CI Engineer- The candidate is required to have at least three years of prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in automotive industry:

 

  • Identify, analyze, andimplement continuous improvement opportunities across manufacturing and support processes.
  • Lead Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools (5S, VSM, SMED, SPC, root cause analysis, PDCA, DMAIC).
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Support problem-solving activities for quality issues, scrap reduction, and customer complaints.
  • Collaboratewith production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and engineering teams.
  • Standardize processes and ensure sustainability of improvements.
  • Train and coach employees on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support audits and compliance with automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as applicable).
