Job summary:

• Resolve all Customs documentation questions/issues that may delay shipments to/from all plants (often while shipments are in route to the destination)
• Train and assist plant personnel with creating Customs invoices and other documentation 
• Help resolve systems issues when they occur 
• Coordinate Customs documentation with transportation information 
• Review and respond to inquiries for informationfrom Customs brokers needed to avoid delays of shipments in route to destination or needed to filedocumentation timely to Customs
• Work with vendor to provide trade information/documents required under contact with OEMs and other customers
• This includes part level trade certificates, country of origin percentage used for OEM labels, manufacture country of origin and other information
• Work with plants to provide complete data to vendor for processing to meet customer demands 
• Develop solutions to “out of process” requests from customers 
• Extract information from QAD when feasible to resolve data issues
• Verify Expense accounts with annual Budget
• Coordinate the transportation needs of the Plant
• Reconcile Freight and Tariff Expenses with the Finance area
• Identify and suggest resolution to data deficiencies (resulting in manual “work arounds”)
• Work with vendor to obtain informationneeded to create trade certificates needed by Yanfeng to qualify for trade programs that reduce duties and fees
• Support in internal & external audits
• Review and approve Customs broker invoices (referred for review by Trans International)
• Resolve export alerts created from TMS

Requirements:

• University degree in economics, traffics engineering or other related area 
• More than 3 years of working experience in customs field, automotive industry preferred
