Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Provide direct input to the simultaneous development team (SDT) by doing the following:
- Develop the Process Team in theirskills and knowledge of proper processing techniques, including SPC tools, team-oriented problem-solving Techniques, etc.
- Provides support on new product launch tooling, providing themanufacturing input for development of new processes and improvements to existing processes and tooling.
- Provide leadership within the Process Team and take a personal, active role inthe efforts to meet our operational targets in scrap, RFT (Right First Time), PPM, etc.
- Facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility and any corresponding technical training.
- Assess the product, process, equipmentand tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manage action items to resolve.
- Responsible for injection molding related continuous improvement (e.g. cycle times, scrap, quality, material cost reduction, regrind implementation, etc.)
- Create and support continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar
- Candidates mustdemonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and the ability to encourage individuals to improve performance.
- Mechanical aptitude and analytical problem solving.
- 3+ years experience with AutoCAD
- DOE and data driven studies experience.
- Six Sigma, Lean, Continuous Improvement training or experience.
- Candidates must demonstrate technical and project management skills.
- Familiar with entire product life including development, launch and production.
- Understands and demonstrates ability to work with and improve documented manufacturing standards.
- Must be able and willing to travel both locally & out of state to customer sites, supplier sites and manufacturing sites.
- Must be comfortable with climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Required Education Level: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering,
Plastics or Engineering Technology required (BSME or BSMET or similar)

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):
- Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing (Tier One Automotive interiors experience preferred)
Ability to learn new tasks quickly - Computer proficient (Word, Excel, typing)
- Office Equipment proficient (Fax, Scanner, Copiers, Printers, etc.)
- High communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to comprehend and retain technical knowledge
- High level of concentration skills, multitasking abelites, and quality assurance
