Job Description
- Supports and promotes Company’s CoreValues and Quality Policy.
- Preventative maintenance on all injection molds, vac form, and punch tools.
- Welding (Tig and Mig)
- Spotting parting line
- Run a Mill
- Run a Lathe
- Disassemble/Assemble Molds
- Fill out purchase orders and on a day to day basis.
- Engineering ChangeNotices.
- Obtain quotes from outside sources.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Look for and correct safety issues on all equipment.
- Creates and maintains an environment for a safe and healthy workforce.
- Assures housekeeping standards are met.
- Other duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 60 pounds.
- Abilityto sit or stand for 3-4 hours before a break.
- Ability to use a pallet jack using a force of 35 lbs.
- Ability to bend and stoop for an 8-12 hour period.
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment.
MENTAL EFFORT, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to run required tools
- Ability tounderstand type and nature of essential job functions.
- Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions.
- Ability to read a scale
- Ability to work overtime
- Understand functions of a mold
- Ability to be “on call”
- Ability to read calipers
- Ability to read micrometers
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Crane Operator
- 5 years’ Experience
- Tooling Journeyman’s Certificate
