Job Description

 

Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Layout Planning in ourEMEA manufacturing plants for new programs is following the standards and is optimized to ensure best resources utilization. 
  2. Follow up & Control floorspace utilization in our EMEAManufacturing plants for current situation and future status. 
  3. Maintain the relevantIndustrial Engineering KPIs and support the EMEA region to close the gaps. 
  4. Lead regional workshops for footprint decision making process, layout development, direct labor workcontent and material flow optimization. 
  5. Implement BBP for line balancing, direct/indirect labour calculation, logistics automation and manufacturing automation. 
  6. Train teams in the region to provide expertise in Layout development, manufacturing automation and labor work content calculation. 
  7. Simulation.
    1. Integrate and use simulation software to identify and optimize non-value-added work.
    2. Identify opportunities to improve our capacityutilization on our existing Equipment.
  8. Ensure in-time and quality of team deliverables.
  9. Identifying opportunities for new BBPs and share across our plants.
  10. Develop a cross Manufacturing plant network to promote inter collaboration between EMEA Plants to improve operational efficiency.

Education

  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical or industrial) or other equivalent technical education
 

Work Experience

  • Min. 3 years’ experience as a Manufacturing, Industrial Engineer, Logistic planner or technician on multiple technologies
  • OEM, Tier One or Equipment supplier work experience (preferably automotive)
  • MS Office skills + Autocad/2D CAD Software
  • Project lead skills
  • YFIMS/ Lean manufacturing
  • Plastics process or assembly experience
  • Equipment & tool specification, selection, purchasing and installation and start up
  • Reporting on project issues, findings and measures
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork (verbal and documentation) skills – ability to write clear and concise technical documentation is required 
  • Flexible work & travel schedules - plant visits are required
