Main Responsibilities

• Check and confirm part & tool feasibility following our rules for plastic part design (DFAM) in close cooperation with Engineering department
• Secure and guide Product engineering to ensure that the designed product fulfills feasibility requirements (external / internal)
• Execute feasibility studies for product and toolingconsidering material behavior under melt
• Create tool data sheets for injection molding tools sourcing & nomination process
• Lead and monitor injection molding tool buildsat our EU toolshops and with local support at our Chinese tool shops from nomination until hand overto serial production plant in EU
• Follow-up tool design and built @ tool maker including compliance of out tooling specifications
• Optimize tryouts and start-ups incl processsettings from first trial until SOP
• Coach and elevate plant team members
• Advise our internal project team in above mentioned subjects

Common Requirements
 

• Orworking experience with OEM, Tier1 or tool shop for automotive interior parts (e.g. Instrumentpanels, Doorpanels and Floor Consoles)
• Ability to design injection molding tools
• Ability to design judge/rate rheological and thermal tool design
• Deep knowledge in machining steel, graining and coating/hardening of steels are required
• Good english skills
• Willingness to travel
• Work independend, responsible and engaged

Education

• Education/qualification as toolmaker for injection molding tools, experienced for several years.
