Plant Administrative Assistant - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Main Responsibilities, Requirements and Competencies:

Supervisory Capacity:              No Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Point of contact to receive and log customer Material Rejection Notices (MRNtickets).
  • Performs MRN data entry generating rebuild or replacement part pick requests. 
  • Schedules rebuilds during production hours to minimize current production disruptions.
  • Collects, packages, and ships misc. parts to close out MRN tickets or VOR requests.
  • Verifies that shipments occur, verifies that shippers are generated, and material inventory adjustments are made properly.
  • Performs similar functions for Mopar service build requirements.
  • Support special projects and urgent tasks whenever the team needs.
  • Define, organize and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain internal and externalcustomer relationships. 
  • Assist with and provide back-up coverage to other administrative jobs as required for department effectiveness.
  • Participate in and actively support all plant initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy of performed duties through internal audit processes.

Required Education Level:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent 
    • Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience as an Assistant or AdministrativeCoordinator.
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
    • Strong oral/written communication skills.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
    • Effective interpersonal and phone skills that demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
    • Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
    • Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.
    • Flexible to work any shift as needed.
    • Experience with databases, spreadsheets, reports, and auditing.
