Materials Analyst
United States - MI - Romulus

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquirement of materials. 
  • Optimize freight and inventories. 
  • Implement, production scheduling, logistics and inventory control processes which ensure the availability of materials for an uninterrupted flow of production in accordance with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventories. 
  • Select, motivate, train, and ensure development of a competent department and materials handling staff. 
  • Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action.
  • Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
  • Daily walks verifying material is stored in the proper location.
  • Assistwith the management of the most economical inbound / outbound transportation routes, looking for opportunities to combine shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution
  • Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements. 
  • Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements. 
  • Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliancerequirements. 
  • Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-relatedIT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements. 
  • Mustcomply with all company policies and procedures. 
  • Employee must have the ability towork additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time. 
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels. 
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Education

  • Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Supply Chain, Business Admin, Finance orsimilar.

 *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Skills, Knowledge 

  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience. 
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry. 
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Proficient in Excel. 
  • Experience in ERP and MRP system.
