Maintenance Technician (A) - 3rd Shift

Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for participating in the Total and Preventive (TPM)for all equipment and facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities. 
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments tomaintain maximum production and quality. · Examine and test equipment after repairs, changeovers orextended downtime.
  • Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records.
  • Review Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement; propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions for all facilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate equipment moves on the shop floor. · 
  • Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met. · 
  • Set up requisitions for supplies, equipment and facilities. · 
  • Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime. · 
  • Keep most recent documentation related to maintenance. · 
  • All other duties as assigned.

RequiredQualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

  • 3 Minimum Years of Experience with Maintenance / Engineering.
  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. · 
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints.· Abilityto troubleshoot electrical issues – 24v dc, 120v, 240v, and 3 phase electronic circuits.
  • Experience operating basic shop tools. · 
  • High level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety and/or complexity, which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

  • Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of equipment including but not limited to – light assembly, plastic welding technology, injection molding machines, slush machines, foam in placeequipment, robots.
  • Welding experience. · PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
  • Excellent Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic circuit troubleshooting.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to match the pace of work to the speed of equipment.
  • Often exposed to distracting sounds and noisy conditions.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment daily.
  • Work is indoor in a manufacturing setting that may not be temperature controlled.
