EHS Manager
United States - MI - Harrison Township

Job Description

Main Responsibilities – Include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor EHS performance, identify risks, areas of improvement, conduct and manage EHS audits and on-site inspections to identify EHS workplace hazards. 
  • Manage investigation of EHS incidents, prepare reports and recommendations, implement waste management programs, develop and drive EHS trainings , manage relationships with community of EHS stakeholders. 
  • Research, evaluate andrecommend changes to improve EHS performance. 
  • Provide expertise and advice on EHS issues to area managers and plant managers. 
  • Eliminate the risk of occupational injuryand illness, and environmental non-compliance in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Leadinternal and external EHS audits

 

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Level Degree
    • Area of Study: EHS or related field.
    • *Equivalent work experience or professional certifications obtained by applicants may also be considered for certain positions
  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience in EHS.
  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Experience of a minimum of two years in managing regulatory compliance in OSHA, worker’s compensation, manufacturing health and safety training, environmental and ergonomics. 
  • ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 requirements, including internal and external customers such as OE and NGO requirements; training and record keeping requirements, ISO documentation requirements and formats.
