Job Description
The Supervisor Production is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area ofthe production departments. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handlingthe daily supervision of the departmental personnel.
- Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
- Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start upmeeting.
- Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensurecustomer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standardsare followed.
- Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
- Compile KPI data andpopulate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
- Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
- Ensure compliance of the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
- Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
- Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
- Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
- Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.
- Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
- Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
- Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT/ Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
- Must complywith all company policies and procedures.
- Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
- Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain predictable and regularattendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Education Level High School Graduate or Equivalent Area of Study: General Studies *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production. 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry. Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. · Computerliteracy. · Excellent oral communication skills. · Strong team building, decision-making and peoplemanagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
(Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge) · Just in Time (JIT) environment experience, preferred. · Proficient organizational skills. · Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
