Job Description
We are looking for a motivated team member in the Engineering Department for our business unit Yanfeng Automotive Interiors.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team ofmanufacturing engineers and technicians in the development of products and processes in line with customer requirements, company standards, and lean principles. This role plays a key part in drivingproduction technology improvements, process efficiency, and professional development within the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
• Leads and develops a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians
• Provides mentorship, succession planning, and supports employee development
• Acts in accordance with the YFAI Leadership Model expectations
Planning andResource Management:
• Prepares resource and budget plans, cost analysesof products and processes
• Ensures timely execution of manufacturing engineering activities according to plan
Product and Process Development:
• Leads development of complex products and manufacturing systems based on OEM and internal customer requirements
• Contributes to product and technology innovation to enable efficient and high-quality manufacturing
• Cooperates with SD and development teams during product launch activities
Continuous Improvement and Standardization:
• Implements and monitors best manufacturing practices, YFAI standards, and systems (BOS, PRP, Lean, CPP, CMP, EPIC, BEP…)
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives (KAIZEN, DO IT) to achieve maximum efficiency and quality (MEQ)
Technology andEquipment Management:
• Plans and develops methods for process and workstation optimization
• Participates in development, installation, and implementation of new technologies, devices, and systems
• Oversees productionequipment commissioning and provides technical support to manufacturing plants
Safety and Compliance:
• Develops and enforces preventive safety programs in line with company policies and legal requirements
• Ensures complete technical documentation and compliance with internal procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
• Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering and team leadership
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and project management
• Proficiency in relevant systems and tools (BOS, PRP, Lean methods, etc.)
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
• Fluent English language skills
